Upcountry Homestay & Village Tours

We offer opportunity to tourists , student and youths who are willing to travel to the up country side of Kenya to experience the life style of Kenyans living in the western part of Kenya. This tour involves stay at the village for the period of time one is willing to stay. This gives you an opportunity to experience and learn how people live and survive in the rural area of western Kenya.
The tour also involves visiting the National Parks found around the western side of Kenya and the great rift valley.

 

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve
This morning we pick up clients from their hotel and we depart from Nairobi at 8.30 am and drive through the view point of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at the Lodge/camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. The Mara Game Reserve one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. The wild animals found in the Park's are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra,  both Thomson's and grants Gazelles. 

 

Day 2: Full day exploring Masai Mara Game Reserve
Full day spent for viewing the great predators and explore the parks amazingly high concentration of wild animals. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive Cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. During the stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp. 

Day 3: Masai Mara – Naivasha
Early morning game drive. Then return to the camp for the breakfast and depart for Naivasha tolocated in the Great Rift Valley. Lunch is provided en route. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Naivasha town.

Day 4: Hell’s National Park Naivasha  –Kisumu
Hell's Gate National Park lies to the south of Lake Naivasha in Kenya, North West of Nairobi.  The park which is mainly comprised of savannah ecosystem harbors a wide variety of wildlife. Some of the frequently observed animal species include. There are over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, augur buzzard, and swifts. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons are also common. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope and Chanler's mountain reedbuck..
Extensive early morning game drive in Hell’s gate National park. The activities in the park involve Game viewing, Raptor nesting in cliffs, Spectacular Gorge walk, Hot springs, The Olkaria Geothermal Station, The Mervyn Carnelley Raptor Hide, Fischer’s Tower, Tourist circuits, nature trails and picnic sites. Lunch served in Naivasha then depart for  Kisumu arriving in the evening.  

 

Day 5: Kisumu
After breakfast have a morning tour around the Kisumu town and the Lake Victoria. Lunch is served in Kisumu hotel. Depart in the afternoon to western Village arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight in the Village

Day 6 - 8: Stay at the Village
Discover, explore, tour and learn various cultures and traditions of the village people while staying with them at the village.

Day 9: Depart to Nakuru National Park

After breakfast in the village, depart to Nakuru NationalPark. Lunch is served en route. Arriving in Nakuru in the evening.Dinner and over night in Nakuru hotel

Day 10: Nakuru National Park – Nairobi
After breakfast, enjoy intensive game drive in Lake Nakuru National park. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lake shores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 birds’ species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe. Lunch is served en route while on your way to Nairobi where your up country village tour ends.
